Summary

Bài Tủ does not collect your data. There is no account, no sign-in, no ads, and no analytics. We do not run any server that stores your data.

Where your data lives

Your songs, keys, lyric-recall levels, occasion tags, friends' names and session history are stored on your own device.

If you are signed in to iCloud, that data also syncs between your devices through your own iCloud, using Apple's CloudKit. It sits in your iCloud account, not ours — we cannot reach it, cannot read it, and hold no copy.

Deleting the app deletes the data on that device. To remove the iCloud copy as well, use Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

Where the app reaches out

Exactly three places, and only when you act:

1. iTunes Search API (Apple) — when you search for a song to add, or play a 30-second preview. We send the text you typed. Nothing identifying you or your device is sent with it.

2. LRCLIB (lrclib.net) — when you open the lyrics for a song. We send the song title and artist name. Nothing identifying you or your device is sent with it.

3. ShazamKit (Apple) — when you record a clip to find out what a song is (the "Unnamed" screen), or tap "Identify" on a clip you already recorded. The app creates an audio signature (a numeric summary of the sound's characteristics, not a file anyone can listen to) from the recording on your device, then sends only that signature to Apple to match against. The recording itself — the file you can play back on the "Unnamed" screen — is not sent; it stays on your device (and syncs through your own iCloud if you are signed in, as described above). ShazamKit returns a song and artist name if it finds a match; if it does not, nothing comes back, and the clip stays on your device so you can name it yourself or try identifying it again later.

All three services are run by Apple or a third party and have their own policies. If you do not use those three features, the app never makes a network call.

System permissions

Bài Tủ asks for microphone access — used to record the clip when you can't place a song (the "Unnamed" screen). The recording is an audio file on your device; it is never sent anywhere as a file — see the ShazamKit section above for exactly what leaves your device when you use this feature (an audio signature, not the recording).

You can delete individual clips on the "Unnamed" screen — except a clip that has been logged as someone's performance. That clip is part of your session history, so from that screen it can only be renamed, not deleted. Removing it entirely currently requires deleting the app. This is a known limitation, not a deliberate choice, and it will be addressed in a later release.

The app does not ask for camera, location, contacts, photos or notifications.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, children included.
