Summary

Cutting Floor collects nothing about you. No account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics. The app makes no network calls at all — we run no servers.

Your videos

You pick a video through the system photo picker. iOS runs that picker outside the app: the app receives only the one video you chose, and never sees the rest of your library.

The video is copied into the app's temporary folder, analysed entirely on your device to find and cut out subjects, and the temporary copy is deleted when the work finishes. Your video never leaves the device.

Your stickers

Cut stickers are stored in the app's shared container on the device itself, so that the app, the sticker keyboard and the Messages extension can all read them. They are not uploaded anywhere. Deleting the app deletes them.

System permissions

Cutting Floor asks for exactly one permission: adding photos to your library, used when you save a sticker sheet. It is add-only; the app does not ask for, and cannot do, reading the photos you already have.

It requests no camera, microphone, location, contacts or notification access.

The sticker keyboard

The sticker keyboard needs Full Access enabled in Settings. iOS uses that one switch to unlock the two things the keyboard needs: reading the shared sticker container, and putting a sticker on the clipboard when you tap it.

The keyboard does not log your keystrokes, does not read what you are typing, and sends nothing anywhere. It could not send anything: this app contains no networking code.

Purchases

Payment is handled by Apple through StoreKit. We never see or store your card or billing details.

The app keeps a small Keychain record of whether you have purchased, so it can decide instantly and offline. That Keychain item survives deleting the app — deliberately, so reinstalling never asks you to pay twice. It holds a purchase state, not your identity.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, children included.
