The agreement

Using Cutting Floor means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to the app as licensed through the App Store. Where these terms say more than Apple's, these terms apply in addition; they never take away a right Apple's agreement gives you.

Your licence

You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control. You may not resell it, rent it out, or try to extract its source.

Your stickers are yours

You keep every right you had in the videos you import and the stickers the app cuts from them. We claim no ownership and no licence over them — the app processes them on your device and we never receive a copy.

You are responsible for having the right to use the video you import. Do not use the app to cut up material you have no right to, or to make stickers of someone who has not agreed to it.

Purchases and subscriptions

Cutting Floor offers a weekly subscription, an annual subscription, and a one-time lifetime purchase. The exact price and billing period are shown on the purchase screen before you buy.

Apple sells and bills for all of this, not us. Refunds are Apple's to give under App Store policy; we cannot issue one. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Restoring a purchase

Use Restore Purchases on the purchase screen to bring a purchase back on a new device or after reinstalling, using the same Apple Account you bought with.

What we do not promise

The app is provided as is. Cutting subjects out of video is a best effort by on-device machine learning, and it will sometimes cut badly or miss a subject entirely. We do not promise a particular quality of result, uninterrupted operation, or compatibility with every future version of iOS.

Because your stickers live only on your device, keeping them is up to you. Deleting the app deletes them, and we have no copy to restore.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential damage arising from using the app.

Changes

If these terms change, this page is updated with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the app after that means accepting the change.
